We're looking for a NERC CIP ICS Compliance engineer with knowledge of P&C, automation, and Industrial Control Systems to join our team that leads the NERC CIP regulatory compliance as a center of excellence for the BC Hydro Transmission Station department. As a member of this team, you will be providing compliance support to engineering, field operations, asset management and other departments. This will include leading time sensitive day-to-day tasks to maintain compliance of our cyber assets. It will also include developing engineering processes or standards, working with other compliance teams to define and interpret standards, leading consultants in support our program, developing new systems for maintain records and rolling out compliance activities, and writing and delivering training material.

The NERC CIP ICS Compliance Engineer is responsible to:

* Lead execution of regular time-sensitive CIP sustainment Engineering activities related to: - Device security hardening (i.e. security patches, software/firmware security evaluation, security capabilities, etc.). - Substation-based Capital project and Program support. - Mitigation of security hardening deficiencies. - Processing approval of change management work flows for device additions, removals, changes. - Compliance evidence analysis, validation and storage. * Liaise with engineering, asset management and field operations personnel to resolve compliance issues. * Generate annual self-certification and audit documentation. * Coordinate vendor input on device security hardening. * Develop CIP job related documentation. * Participate in and/or lead compliance violation investigations that include root cause analysis, personnel interviews and mitigation planning. * Act as an SME for initiatives related to the evolution for NERC CIP compliance and such as the

adoption of future CIP standards. * Act as an SME for initiatives related to cybersecurity in the BC Hydro operational technology space. * Develop informational material to support internal and external stakeholders. * Deliver presentations or training material. * Support CIP Technical Lead Engineer.


* A recognized Electrical (or related) Engineering degree and registered, or eligible for immediate registration, as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC). * A minimum of 8 years of progressive engineering experience, with experience in the area of operational cyber assets (e.g. relays, controllers, meters, etc.) operational/industrial networking and/or cyber security of operational cyber assets. We will accept applications with less qualifications. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly produce process and reports. * The ability to present in front of an audience. * Interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships with internal and external clients. * Proven ability to deliver in matrix organization. * Experience with databases is an asset. * Experience in a utility environment is an asset. * Familiarity with NERC CIP standards and experience in compliance is an asset.
