* This role supports Application projects and initiatives; Technology Infrastructure projects and initiatives along with a focus on team management.

* Ownership and accountable for issues between applications, field laptops, and vehicle WI-FIs for a single accountability of the problems for Line Operations and Construction Services field groups.

* Escalate issues as required to different vendors, Technology groups, and service providers as required due to the urgency of field issues.

* Create investment justifications (IJs) and business cases while adhering to our ITDSP framework to request capital funding for applications and IT hardware that are required to support Field Operations and Construction Services

Support Application projects and initiatives: * Support applications projects and work programs that potentially impact Field Operations and Construction Services.

* Act as a liaison between the business groups and the different application teams and resources regarding application issues and / or minor enhancements used by our business groups.

Support Technology Infrastructure Projects and initiatives:

* Support projects and work programs for desktop refreshes, vehicle WI-FI router refreshes, Windows upgrades, Exchange Online migration, Microsoft SAC updates, and security patching which can impact our field workers.

* Provide insight and recommendations (change management, communications, timing, schedule)

while working with the various teams for the deployment of new IT technologies or updates to our field workers.

Team Management: * Managing a team of employees and contractors to support infrastructure and applications used by Field Operations and Construction Services.

* Invoice approver (Time and Expenses) for contractors and contactor extension which includes managing the operating budgets and monthly accruals.

* Bi-weekly and weekly status meetings with employees which includes annual objectives, mid- year and year-end reviews.

Supporting field workers with ruggedized laptops and vehicle WI-FI infrastructure: * Lead and manage a team to support of ruggedized laptops and vehicle WI-FI routers which are supported by staff augmented contractors and an employee.

* Weekly team meetings with the Field Mobility support team and Business Application Support team to discuss issues and challenges, and share knowledge to resolve (end to end) issues.

* Work with hardware vendors, Infrastructure Operations, PMs, Fleet group, and Application support to resolve IT Infrastructure issues in the field.

* Define standard configurations for ruggedized IT equipment, vehicle routers, and vehicle docks while working with Technology Infrastructure, BCH Fleet groups, and business groups.

Support of GIS (GE Smallworld) platform for Spatial Asset Management Field (SAM): * As a Technology owner for SAM Field, lead and manage a team with an employee and service providers to support the application used by our field workers.

* Provide guidance and approval for semi-annual enhancements and emergency patch deployments for SAM Field to our field workers.

* Chair monthly SAM Technical User Group (TUG) meetings which are attended by multiple key business groups (Line Ops, PCM, DMAs, Test Treat, Revenue Assurance, Vegetation Management, Integrated Planning).

* Work request management as it relates to projects, work programs, minor enhancement, and application maintenance.

* Work with our outsourcers in regards to the planned work and allocated resources to the portfolio to deliver the required scope of work within a balanced budget and defined schedule.

Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree in business management, computer science or other relevant discipline. A candidate with a combination of experience and lesser education may be considered.

* Minimum of 10 years total experience including 4 years of IT Infrastructure Operations, 4 years of Application Operation, 3 years Project Management or ITDSP, and 3 years of managing IT staff with direct reports within IT Service Management solution architecture design, process design, implementation, or sustainment activities, or equivalent.

*This role requires strong understanding of the ITIL Framework, IT Service Management processes and Tools, and Project Management methodologies and processes.
