Project Manager / Steel Fabrication & Installation: Harvey 2574
We are currently looking for a experienced Project Manager, who has a minimum of 5 years plus of current working experience, specializing in Steel Fabrication & the steel installation industry, who will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of assigned contracts.
You will work closely with your team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track.
Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as, the proper execution of these plans and continuous follow up.
In addition to project management and leadership skills, the Project Manager will need to prove their knowledge of the steel fabrication industry.

Summary & Key Responsibilities:The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of assigned contracts. You will work closely with your team members to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities include submitting project deliverables, preparing status reports, and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of these plans and continuous follow up. In addition to project management and leadership skills, the Project Manager will need to prove their knowledge of the steel fabrication industry.
- Responsible for meeting the project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Responsible for overseeing all elements of the project including but not limited to; scheduling, detailing, material purchasing, fabrication, coatings, deliveries, cranes, safety, manlifts, and site installation.
- Responsible for reviewing and ensuring that all shop drawings produced, and material purchased are in accordance with the project specifications.
- Responsible for all Project Change Orders: management, pricing, execution, acceptance, and collection.
- Ensure that all parties are informed in advance of the impacts on schedule and budget.
- Coordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track.
- Delegate and monitor project tasks based on colleagues’ strengths, workload, skill sets and experience levels.
- Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
- Ensuring proper and continuous follow-up with all involved parties, both internally and externally
- Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
- Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
- Identifying and developing new opportunities with clients.
- Managing customer satisfaction.
- Conducting post project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Other duties may be reasonably required to benefit the company and or as requested by Management.
Requirements:
- Hiring from within Canada and at the very minimum, must be a Permanent Resident of Canada and hold a valid BC Driver’s License
- Min. of 5 yrs. proven experience as a Project Manager, in the Steel Fabrication & installation industry.
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business, project management, or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of contract law
- A Detailing certificate or other steel detailing experience [Tekla, Advanced Steel, etc…] is a plus!!
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills and proficient in relevant software including Google, Microsoft 365 (MS Excel & Word), Bluebeam, Procore, etc.
- Proven experience in project management and great time management abilities
- Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
- Able to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Budget and scheduling management experience.
This is a full-time position.
Salary is open depending on experience.
The benefits package is available after 3 months.
