Structural BIM/CAD Technologist Position in Victoria, BC

Skyline Engineering, a boutique structural engineering firm located in Victoria BC, is seeking an entry to intermediate level Structural BIM/CAD Technologist.

Qualifications:

• Completed Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, or Computer Aided Design and Drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCad and/or Revit

Other Assets Include:

• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Experience reading and preparing structural and/or architectural drawings
• General understanding of construction and construction procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take direction and work well with others
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn

Duties:

• Drafting of structural drawings
• Coordinate the structural design and liaise with the consultant team (architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc.)
• Preparation of technical site instructions
• Review of shop drawings
