Creating a better employee experience benefits both you and your team. Research from the 2019 Workforce View in Europe Report showed that companies with high employee engagement generated 2.5 times more revenue than those with a lower level. 1. Engage Employees and Provide Feedback

Just over 50% of employees say they feel engaged at work. Do you want to keep your employees engaged? You can help by giving them feedback on their work so that they feel appreciated and valued. 59% of employees say they feel more engaged when they’re asked for feedback, so you can make it a two-way conversation. Take the time to ask your employees how they enjoy their job while also providing an opportunity to give them feedback.

2. Internal Communication is Key

Your employees should feel like they can talk to you and talk to each other. Open communication encourages better team collaboration and creates a more cohesive environment while also boosting productivity. You want to make sure you’re touching base with your employees as much as possible, whether it’s at a weekly meeting or by email.

With hybrid workplaces becoming the norm and more employees shifting to flexible and remote working arrangements, internal communication is becoming even more essential. If you can’t have a face-to-face meeting, take advantage of software like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

3. Take an Interest in Their Wellness

If the pandemic has taught us one thing, it’s the importance of looking after employee wellness. Mental wellbeing is just as important as physical wellness. You can increase employee experience by offering wellness programs, such as benefits for cycling to work or access to health clinics.

When your employees are well-rested, they’ll feel happier in their job and be more alert and productive as a result. You can incorporate mental health programs as part of the health benefits provided by your business, including access to therapy and other mental health facilities.

4. Career Development

While your employee might love working for you, the chances are that they’re always considering what their next job might be. If you want to retain your skilled employees, you need to provide them with a path to develop their careers further. You can offer training programs to help them keep on top of new innovations and developments within your industry.

Every few months, you can sit down with your employees for a formal review. You can ask about their career plans, provide feedback, and offer mentoring advice. It’s also a good idea to give time for your employees to take third-party training or courses, especially if it’s something that your business can benefit from.
