Utility Operator

Job Summary:
You are a Utility Operator with experience in heavy civil maintenance projects. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team working with our core maintenance crew. For you, safety and quality are a priority, and you are proud of your work at the end of each day. You have previously worked alongside crews within a civil environment, are a team player who is willing to lend a hand whenever assistance is required to get the job done.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks to support earth works operations
• Provide general clean up, repairs, ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work areas
• Conduct groundwork including shoveling, raking, fixing fences, potholes
• Ensures that work is completed during regular hours
• May perform other duties as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience operator operating a Grader
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ledcor requires possession of CSTS 2020 (Construction Safety Training Systems)
• Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
• Valid Driver's License and Driver's Abstract

Work Conditions:

• Applicants that reside in Kitimat, BC or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
• 14 days on/7 days off rotation working 10 hours per day
• Site based role, rotational shift will be assigned
• Benefits provided by CLAC
• Work will be outdoors in rough terrain and under extreme weather conditions and in an environmentally sensitive area
