What Your Day Will Look Like
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a variety of simple to complex projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with stakeholder expectations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitate clear communication, and proactively navigate challenges to maintain momentum. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety will drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll be Responsible For:
- Managing project deliverables to meet timelines, budget constraints and quality standards in accordance with Ecofor’s Project Management guidance and processes.
- Assessing and allocating necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and finances, in coordination with regional and operational management.
- Interpreting and advising on regulatory requirements and their impact.
- Identifying the need to procure qualified consultants to support projects and follow subcontracting processes to ensure appropriate expertise is secured.
- Maintaining strong client relationships by serving as the primary point of contact, addressing concerns, and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
- Fostering positive relationships with local communities, Indigenous groups, governmental agencies and other partners.
- Promoting a strong safety culture and working collaboratively within Ecofor’s corporate culture.
What Will Help You Succeed:
Our ideal candidate has ten or more years as a Project Manager in a natural resource consulting industry. You are a highly organized and motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Your ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail will be key to your success in this role.
- B.Sc. in Environmental Science (e.g. Biology), or a related field (e.g. Ecology, Environmental Science, Biochemistry, etc.), or
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related discipline.
- PMP or similar project management certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective relationship-building skills to foster cooperative working relationships.
- Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with financial management of projects, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience working in partnership with First Nations communities and other stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, honesty and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Working knowledge of project management software, practices and procedures.
Position requires: Criminal Record Check, Valid Driver’s License
Language Requirement: Fluent in English

Wage Range: This is a Salary position with a target hiring range of $108,427 to $133,395 per year. Final placement within this range will typically be between the minimum and midpoint and is determined based on each candidate’s unique combination of skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. We also consider factors such as market conditions and internal equity to support fair and transparent compensation practices.
Location: We have offices in several locations in western Canada, and our preferred candidates are those who reside in those areas; however, working remotely may be considered for the right candidate.
