What- the Role:
On behalf of our Client, SWIM is recruiting for a new Senior Director, Corporate Reporting & Accounting. Reporting to a wonderful VP Finance, this role is looking for a successor in 2-3 years time. This is an important leadership role within the company that will have direct leadership of 2 Managers including a Director Financial Reporting and Manager Accounting and a total team of 10. This role is highly technical, responsible for overseeing the global consolidations of 50+ entities from a technical accounting standpoint and financial reporting. In addition, this role will get involved in supporting M&A, complex transactions, debt, inventory and research from an accounting standpoint for their public company including board exposure. Who- the Candidate:
- Seeking a skilled leader with relevant complex, multi-entity and ideally global experience with experience in a public company environment with exposure to the board. Preferred to have supported 50+ entities in a relevant manufacturing or natural resources environment.
- Strong leadership skills in developing a team, ideally with a similar size team including the management of skilled managers as well to support their development.
- CPA, CA with strong research abilities that is highly technical with progressive experience in both public practice and industry at the leadership level.
- This role is varied in looking for a leader with strong business acumen that can have presence in working with key stakeholders, have confidence in presenting and have strong leadership presence.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and skills, likely in the range of $180,000 to $200,000 depending on experience. Where:
Based in Vancouver, Hybrid with the ability to go to office 3 days a week.
