Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid) Salary: $90,000 Job Type: Full-Time

You’ll support full‑cycle accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and funder requirements for a growing organization with public accountability obligations. If you enjoy hands‑on work, improving systems, and being a key partner to a Controller in a lean team, this role offers meaningful impact and long‑term growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

Full‑cycle accounting and monthly/annual financial statements for a multi‑property portfolio
Preparing reconciliations, working papers, journal entries, and review‑ready documentation
Managing tenant rent/subsidy reconciliations and supporting funder reporting requirements
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and audit preparation
Improving accounting processes, documentation, controls, and reporting tools
Collaborating with the Controller, junior staff, and operational teams to resolve financial issues

Qualifications

CPA required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience; multi‑property, nonprofit, housing, or fund accounting exposure is an asset
Strong reconciliations, financial statements, variance analysis, and audit support experience
Advanced Excel skills; confidence with Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar systems
Ability to work independently, move quickly, and communicate clearly with non‑financial stakeholders
