Senior Accountant

Location: Vancouver, BC (Onsite)

Salary: $90,000 Job Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

This role is ideal for a strong accounting professional who thrives in a fast‑moving, operational environment. You’ll split your time between overseeing offshore team leads, improving accounting systems and processes, and ensuring high‑quality financial reporting for a portfolio of F&B clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

Managing and supporting 5–7 offshore team leads in India, ensuring quality, accuracy, and workflow efficiency
Reviewing junior team work, maintaining working papers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Leading month‑end close and preparing reliable financial statements
Participating in client meetings across both Canada, and internationally
Driving process improvements, systems enhancements, and operational efficiencies
Supporting accounting system implementations
Bringing a continuous improvement mindset to streamline workflows and elevate team performance
Collaborating directly with the owners to support firm‑wide initiatives and operational priorities

Qualifications

CPA designation or equivalent experience
Strong public practice background (required)
Solid bookkeeping fundamentals to support review responsibilities
Experience managing offshore teams (India or similar) is a strong asset
Strong Excel abilities and comfort with AI‑driven tools
Experience with cloud‑based accounting software
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and resourceful
Strong communication skills and an authoritative, confident presence
Flexibility for occasional early morning or late evening calls due to time zones
