Manager / Senior Manager, Assurance – Vancouver (Public Practice)

Our client, a well-established public practice firm in Vancouver, is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager, Assurance to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with a strong public practice background, exceptional interpersonal skills, and proven experience leading audit and review engagements for private companies. You'll play a key leadership role in managing client relationships, overseeing quality assurance, and supporting the firm’s continued growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

Audit Engagement Management – Lead audit and review engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Quality Control & Review – Oversee accuracy and timeliness of reports, financial statements, and team deliverables.
Client Relationship Management – Provide strategic financial insights, address client concerns, and foster long-term partnerships.
Team Leadership – Mentor and support junior audit professionals, contributing to a positive, collaborative work culture.
Business Development – Help identify opportunities for growth and contribute to the firm's expansion efforts.
Technical Guidance – Tackle complex accounting issues and offer expert insights on financial reporting.
Resource Management – Monitor budgets and optimize team workflows.
Regulatory Compliance – Ensure alignment with GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards.

What You Bring:

CPA designation (required); a Master’s in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
5+ years of experience in public practice, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and audit best practices.
Strong communication skills, leadership presence, and the ability to manage diverse teams and client expectations.
Proven ability to support business development and contribute to firm growth.
