Job Title: Manager / Senior Manager – Public Practice
Location: Vancouver, BC
Work Model: In-office
Compensation: $80K to $120K
About the Role
A long-established public practice firm is seeking an accomplished CPA to deliver accounting, tax, and advisory services with a strong emphasis on fostering long-term client relationships. Take ownership of client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate completion of engagements while delivering high-quality work and proactive financial guidance. Lead and supervise accounting staff to uphold efficient service delivery. Additionally, leverage opportunities to enhance marketing skills and expand your client portfolio. Key Responsibilities

Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate and individual clients, delivering comprehensive accounting and taxation services.

Lead and oversee accounting staff, ensuring quality execution of client engagements.

Review and mentor junior staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.

Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and efficient completion of engagements.

Foster strong client relationships through clear, proactive, and professional communication.

Support Partners in developing and executing tax planning strategies and corporate reorganizations.

Contribute to business development by assisting Partners and gradually expanding a personal client portfolio of private individuals and corporations.
What You Bring to the Role
-
Minimum 7 years of experience in public practice, of which 2 years in a manager role working with enterprise clients.

A Canadian CPA Designation

Completion or In progress of a CPA In-Depth Tax Program (preferred).

Solid knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)

Bilingual in English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin (preferred).

Strong people management, relationship-building and leadership skills
