Job Description

6 month contract Business Analyst contract role on a long term, data governance program with a global enterprise organization.

Highly innovative program with a global enterprise organization.
Contract Business Analyst role.
Primarily on site work available in Vancouver, 4 days a week onsite.

What & Why:
As a result of investment in technology and new systems implementation our client is looking to add a Business Analyst to join their Data Analytics team and support the advancement of Data Governance practices across the organization. In this role you will coordinate governance intakes, maintain the business glossary in Atlan, and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive data literacy and adoption. This is a great fit for someone who is organized, collaborative, and able to communicate complex data concepts in a clear and accessible way. This team is driving serious value for the organization as they look to adopt more AI practices.

They have invested majorly in technology and have had an incredibly successful past few years, including a major strategic acquisition. They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a primarily work environment, 4 days a week on site.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

Previous experience in a Data Governance or data management role, with a strong understanding of Data Stewardship principles and best practices.
Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups, manage governance intakes, and maintain policies and standards in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with proven experience facilitating training sessions or workshops for non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with modern data environments and data catalog tools, with hands-on experience in Atlan considered a strong asset.

Compensation:
This role pays between $60-70 per hour.
