Job Description

6-month Business Analyst contract role focused on data initiatives within an enterprise organization.

6-month contract Data Business Analyst role.
Complex data ecosystem investing in AI.
Primarily on site work available in downtown Vancouver, 4 days a week in office.

What & Why:
As a result of growth within their automation team, our client is looking to add a Senior Business Analyst to join the Retail Technology team. You’ll be supporting store reporting within a large-scale, complex data ecosystem. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and prioritize business and technical requirements, evaluate existing processes and workflows, and translate findings into clear, actionable documentation and data-driven reporting solutions. A key focus of this position is source-to-target mapping and navigating intricate data relationships across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of business analysis experience, a strong command of data ecosystems, and the curiosity to stay ahead of emerging technologies including LLMs and AI in the reporting space.

They have an all-star leadership team who keeps you accountable and provides support while still affording you tremendous autonomy. They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and this role will be primarily in office, 4 days a week on site.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

5+ years of senior business analysis experience within large-scale enterprise environments, with demonstrated ability to map and document complex data ecosystems end-to-end.
Mid-level SQL proficiency, with hands-on experience querying and interpreting data across large datasets to support requirements gathering and validation.
Proven experience with source-to-target mapping and working across report and data ecosystems, including familiarity with data pipelines, lineage, and dependencies.
Strong background in producing high-quality design deliverables and technical documentation, with the ability to translate complex data concepts for both technical and business audiences.

Compensation:
This role pays between $75-85 per hour.
