What - the Role:
As Corporate Accountant, reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, you will handle full-cycle accounting for corporate entities, prepare multi-level consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures for corporate entities, prepare and analyze working papers, prepare and review partnerships equity interest calculations, track and reconcile intercompany and other accounts, prepare financial statements analysis, prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assists with electronic banking administration, review monthly and annual GST returns, mentor and develop junior team members, and evaluate, develop, implement and document improvements to accounting procedures and systems to maximise efficiency and quality in the accounting group. Who - the Candidate:
We are seeking an exceptional Corporate Accountant with a strong business sense! You love numbers, reporting, analyzing and providing insights.
The role requires a minimum three years of relevant experience gained from a similar position and environment, preferably for a complex multi-entity organization, including exposure to consolidated financial statements. CPA designation (an asset). Strong understanding of ASPE. Strong communicative and collaborative skills required. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Advanced user of MS Office, specifically Excel, (Power BI considered an asset) Outlook, Word and familiarity with Yardi Voyager is considered an asset. The incumbent must also have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, be comfortable with changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
Where:
Vancouver. This is an in-office role primarily, post probation, employees will have an opportunity to work from home up to one day per week.
How Much:
A competitive salary dependent on experience, in the range of $75,000 - $85,000 along with excellent benefits, vacations and targeted bonus.
