What- the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Accountant and the Director of Finance. The new Intermediate Accountant will contribute to the integrity of the organization’s accounting records. The Acct will support the Sr Acct with full-cycle accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, month/quarter/year-end, financial reporting (under ASPNO), budgeting & forecasting, cash-flow management, etc. This is a 3-month contract to start, with full-time hours, 35 hours/week. Chance for contract to extend or possibly convert to full time employment in future.

Who- the Candidate:
On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking an accounting professional with at least 2 years of relevant work experience and a strong foundation in full-cycle accounting.  Must have work experience doing full-cycle corporate accounting and operational accounting in NPO, public sector, or private sector. Foundational training in a public practice accounting firm is preferred, but not required. We are looking for people who are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in an environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

How Much:
Hourly rate commensurate with level of accounting skills, qualifications, and experience, in the range of $25 to $35, plus 4% vacation pay.

Where:
The organization is based in Vancouver, very close to rapid transit. This is currently a full-time in-office role, but there is opportunity for some hybrid flexibility in future (please discuss with SWIM).
