Based in Vancouver. Seeking an intermediate-level accounting professional who enjoys working on full accounting cycle. The role offers the chance to make a tangible impact within a purpose-driven and values-based organization. Average of 35 work hours a week.

What- the Role:
Reporting to the Senior Accountant and the Director of Finance. The new Accountant will contribute to the integrity of the organization’s accounting records. The Acct will support the Sr Acct with full-cycle accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, month/quarter/year-end, financial reporting (under ASPNO), budgeting & forecasting, cash-flow management, etc. SWIM can provide a more detailed job description to interested candidates.
Who- the Candidate:
On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking an accounting professional with at least 3 years of relevant work experience and a strong foundation in full-cycle accounting. Must have work experience doing full-cycle corporate accounting and operational accounting in NPO, public sector, or private sector. Foundational training in a public practice accounting firm is preferred, but not required. We are looking for people who are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in an environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
How Much:
Base salary in the range of $62,000 to $76,000, commensurate with level of accounting skills, qualifications, and experience. Plus benefits and paid time off. A fantastic perk at this organization is that employees can choose to work 7.75 hours a day (instead of 7 hours) and then take every second Friday off!
Where:
The organization is based in Vancouver, very close to rapid transit. This is currently a full-time in-office role, but there is opportunity for some hybrid flexibility in future (please discuss with SWIM).
