The downturn resulted in an unstable job market with many wishful workers unemployed or underemployed in part time or temporary roles. The past year has seen moderate growth and employers are hopeful that this trend will continue through 2011. So why is now a good time to find a job you might ask?

Managing workloads. Many companies are finding that they need additional resources to manage existing workloads. The downturn resulted in many organizations cutting their workforce levels and they are they are now unable to cope with the growth of the upturn. While some companies are first hiring temporary workers to get projects back on track, others are finding they need to employ additional permanent employees to leverage growth opportunities. This spells opportunity for job seekers.

Job market movement. The upturn is also prompting some employed individuals to start looking for new opportunities. Many workers stayed at their jobs during the downturn for the stability that tenure afforded.
