Recruiter role supporting Swim Recruitings growing public sector practice and strategic private sector client portfolio across Canada.
- Full-cycle recruitment role supporting permanent, contract, temporary, professional, senior-level, and executive search requirements
- Focused on public sector, broader public sector, and strategic private sector clients across multiple Canadian regional markets
- Hybrid role based in Vancouver, with 2 days in office and 3 days remote
Swim Recruiting is looking for a Recruiter to support the growth of our public sector practice and strategic private sector client base. As we continue to win new work with public sector organizations, broader public sector entities, and private sector clients, we need dedicated recruitment capacity to support new and emerging accounts across Canada. This role is focused on recruitment delivery. You will source, screen, assess, and present qualified candidates for a wide range of roles across IT, finance, accounting, legal, supply chain, operations, administration, professional services, and executive search. You will support both permanent and contract recruitment, while also helping build proactive talent pipelines for current and future client needs. From time to time, you will also support early-stage talent mapping for new client opportunities by identifying available candidates, preparing representative profiles, and providing practical market insight when required.
Who- the Company:
Swim Recruiting is a Vancouver-based recruitment firm supporting clients across technology, accounting and finance, legal, supply chain, operations, professional services, executive search, permanent placement and contract staffing. This role sits within a growing area of the business focused on expanding Swim Recruiting’s public sector practice while continuing to support strategic private sector growth. You will work closely with account managers, recruitment leaders, and internal stakeholders to support active roles, upcoming client needs, and new market opportunities across Canadian regional markets.
Who- the Candidate:
You are an experienced recruiter with strong full-cycle recruitment capability and the ability to support a growing client portfolio across public sector, broader public sector, and strategic private sector accounts. You are comfortable recruiting across multiple disciplines, employment types, seniority levels, and regional markets.
You bring strong sourcing discipline, sound candidate assessment judgment, clear communication, and the ability to build proactive pipelines before roles become urgent. You understand how to represent candidates accurately and professionally, and you are comfortable working in structured, compliance-driven, and client-focused environments.
Critical experience requirements include:
- Experience recruiting for both permanent and contract roles across multiple functional areas, including IT, finance, accounting, legal, supply chain, operations, administration, executive, and professional services
- Experience supporting public sector, broader public sector, private sector, professional services, or similarly structured client environments
- Strong full-cycle recruitment experience, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate assessment, shortlist preparation, submissions, and ongoing candidate management
- Proven ability to build proactive candidate pipelines for both immediate and future hiring needs across Canadian regional markets
- Strong candidate assessment skills, including evaluating technical/functional fit, sector experience, availability, compensation expectations, work location flexibility, and employment preferences
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear candidate summaries, shortlists, and role-aligned candidate profiles
- Experience using recruitment tools and systems such as Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and similar platforms
- Experience using recruitment metrics, pipeline analytics, and performance reporting to support data-driven talent strategy, workforce planning, and proposal/RFP-driven hiring initiatives across Canada
- Experience supporting crown corporations, healthcare, post-secondary, municipal, utility, regulatory, government, or other public sector clients
- Familiarity with standing offers, vendor-of-record arrangements, procurement-driven client environments, or proposal-supported business development
- Experience supporting recruitment across Canada
Compensation is flexible and based on experience, qualifications, and preferred structure, with options including either a full commission model or a base salary plus commission. SWIM offers a competitive total rewards package including 23 “SWIM Days,” birthday off, extended health, dental and vision benefits, cell phone reimbursement, and annual reward trips for top performers.
