Job Description

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Junior Accountant to join a purpose-driven mining company based in Vancouver. This is a great opportunity to build your accounting career while supporting the growth of an organization founded on integrity, sustainability, and community. As the company evolves, you’ll play a key role in keeping daily financial operations running smoothly, from managing payables to supporting financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
  • Reconcile bank accounts and maintain clear financial records
  • Enter invoices and journal entries into QuickBooks
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
  • Help prepare internal financial reports and supporting schedules
  • Communicate with vendors and clients about billing and payment matters
  • Provide general accounting and admin support to the finance team

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Remuneration:

$55,000 - $65,000 Base
