Job Description
Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounting Operations Contractor to support our client during an employee's medical leave. This is an 8-week contract role based 100% onsite in downtown Vancouver. The company is looking for someone who can jump in immediately and keep things running smoothly during a key absence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close tasks
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing
- Provide backup support across the finance function as needed
- At least 3 years of accounting or finance operations experience
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with reconciliations and month-end tasks
- Comfortable working onsite full-time in downtown Vancouver
- Available to start immediately and commit to the full contract term
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Up to $50/hour, based on experience.
