Seeking a new Human Resources Assistant for a collaborative, fun-loving, and high-performance team. Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in corporate administration. Experience administratively supporting an HR and/or Recruitment is preferred but not required. Fantastic corporate culture. ~800 employee company with a 10-person HR team.

Who- the Company:   Our client is an international consulting firm with several decades of history that provides professional services on diverse and large-scale projects taking place around the world. This organization hires people who are self-motivated and who are collaborative team players who can also work autonomously. They have a fun-loving, entrepreneurial, and dynamic corporate culture. 

What- the Role: Our client is seeking a new Human Resources Assistant to join their HR & Recruitment team of 10 people. The HR Assistant will report into the HR Manager, and will work very closely with the HR Advisor, the HR Business Partner, the HR Generalists, and the Recruiter. This role entails a blend of HR Administration support (onboarding, benefits administration, updating employee SharePoint site with new info, updating digital employee files, doing mail merges in MS Office to send out updates to large groups of employees or candidates, processing expenses and invoices for the HR department, etc.) and Recruitment support (scheduling interviews across multiple time zones, tracking status of searches, posting jobs, phone screens, conducting references, processing background checks, etc.). The HR Asst will be using an HRIS and ATS, and plenty of other tools such as the full MS Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word), OneDrive, and Sharepoint. SWIM will provide interested candidates with a detailed job description.

Who- the Candidate: We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in HR administration and/or recruitment support.
  • Qualified candidates will have administrative work experience gained in a company of 400 to 2000 employees and foundational
  • Experience working in the professional services sector is an asset, but not required (for example, consulting firm, law firm, accounting firm, architecture firm, engineering firm, etc.). Experience working for a global company is preferred but not required.
  • Qualified candidates will be proficient in the MS Office Suite, and hands-on experience using OneDrive and SharePoint is preferred. Experience doing mail merges in Outlook and Word is highly preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills are of course key (written and verbal), and fluency in a second language (Spanish, French, etc.) is advantageous.
  • In terms of soft skills, we are looking for someone who is professional, friendly, organized, reliable, detail-oriented, articulate, and passionate about working with a tightknit and high performance HR team.  
How Much: Competitive base salary, commensurate with relevant experience, education, and skills- likely in the range of $50,000 to $60,000. This company provides employees with a generous total compensation package which includes a performance-based bonus and health benefits from Day 1. There are also many fun corporate events, and some other employee perks like free on-site exercise classes.

Where: Downtown Vancouver. The corporate office has showers and bike lockers on site, and many employees commute to work by bike, transit, or foot. After onboarding and training, the HR Assistant can work on a hybrid schedule of minimum 3 days/week in office.
