We are currently seeking a Director, Student Success to join our Student Services - Student Affairs team.
Job Overview
This role reports to the Associate Vice President, Student Affairs. Reporting directly to this position are the Manager of Academic Advising, the Manager of Student Awards and Financial Assistance, and the Manager of Student Engagement and Leadership.
The Director, Student Success is responsible for providing leadership and strategy for programs and services that facilitate a positive student transition to studying at KPU and reduce student barriers to engagement and success. The Director monitors best practices in advising, student financial aid and awards, student orientation and student engagement, and plays an active role in assessing the needs of KPU students to ensure the continual enhancement of programming and service quality within the Student Success portfolio.

Salary Information
The above compensation range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for a position. Typically, initial salary placement is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum. This represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and approximately halfway of the salary range for a job with consideration given to internal equity.

Education and Experience
- A Master's Degree in a related field;
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in progressively responsible roles in post-secondary Student Services;
- A minimum of 5 years' management/leadership experience;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proven ability to build, manage and provide leadership to cohesive teams;
- Sound understanding of strategic enrolment management concepts, academic policies and processes that contribute to a quality undergraduate experience;
- Strong understanding of the student services function and student success theories and practices including the barriers, challenges, issues and concerns experienced by both domestic and international students of diverse backgrounds and experiences;
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of learning and innovation;
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including the ability to persuade and influence individuals and groups with diverse needs and interests;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and inclusively to coordinate projects and initiatives among various campus constituencies;
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service;
- Knowledge of budget planning, development and management.
- Ability to travel between campuses is required.
