TechCentre Associate (Casual 6 Months - Fixed Term) 
Location: Burnaby, BC

Position Overview:

We are looking for a TechCentre Associate to join our team in our Phillips warehouse in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to the Technology Integration Centre Manager (TechCentre Manager) the TechCentre Associate will act as the subject matter expert for all three teams in the TechCentre: (1) Warehouse Operations, (2) Configuration and (3) Asset Recovery.  

They will jump in to support each team daily depending on where the help is needed the most. The TechCentre Associate will onboard and train all new hires within the three teams. They will provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring for all new hires while developing and maintaining proper onboarding documentation. 

 

Responsibilities:

Subject Matter Expert  

  • Be ready to work with all teams in the TechCentre based on business requirements

  • Knowledge of workflow and process needs specific to each Team.  

  • Knowledge and functionality with ConnectWise and other tools 

  • Asset Recovery – EOL services for Laptops / Desktops / Printers including unboxing, wiping, quality checks, lease checks, data wiping and data security

  • Configuration – unboxing, labelling, and boxing, imaging workstations and perform checks for outbound devices 

  • Warehouse – order picking, inventory management, cycle counts, reporting, shipping and receiving 

  • Work proactively to ensure that services performed are aligned to the clients' needs

  • Ensure the TechCentre is kept clean and tidy

  • Participate in meetings as required  

  • Perform other responsibilities as required  

Training & Onboarding 

  • Responsible for creating a meaningful onboarding experience for all new hires in Config / Warehouse / Asset Recovery

  • Provide cross training for TechCentre members to develop a team that can move from one group to another as required

Process Documentation  

  • Identify documentation gaps per Team 

  • Update existing documentation 

  • Create documentation as required 

 

Requirements:

  • 1+ year warehouse experience, preferably in an enterprise / business IT environment

  • Warehouse / Shipping / Receiving experience 

  • Organized and can multi-task

  • Good attention to detail

  • Basic computer user skills (Windows, Excel) is considered an asset

  • Knowledge of computer hardware is considered an asset

  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting or individually

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check (CPIC) 

 

Compensation: In accordance with the BC Pay Transparency Act the range for this role for BC residents is $21 to $25 per hour. Please note the exact salary is determined based on a combination of your relevant experience, skill, competencies, geographical location and internal pay equity.
