In addition, some of the key responsibilities in the role will be to plan and implement daily and weekly preventative maintenance work and project lists. You'll bring with you a solid mix of mechanical aptitude and industrial leadership experience and for bonus points, you're certified in a Red Seal trade. You have a clear sense of accountability, and are highly organized. You've planned and scheduled maintenance for multiple trade functions, preferably in a union setting and have a knack for meeting short term maintenance goals along with keeping the longer range challenges in focus. A day in the life of a Maintenance Supervisor will include:
  • Providing direction and support to reports, fostering a highly effective working relationship with all employees
  • Assisting in developing and achieving targets in safety, quality, cost, and delivery and employee engagement
  • Supervising and providing leadership in safety, quality, cost, delivery and employee engagement
  • Ensuring the Canfor Operating System (COS) is being followed with the emphasis on abnormality response
  • Ensuring the preventative maintenance program is developed and followed and that cost targets are within budget.
  • Coordinating the planned work of crews to ensure both maintenance and production targets are met and quality standards are adhered to
  • Maintaining the highest standards of work performance and correct behaviour as required
  • Planning and implementing daily and weekly preventative maintenance work lists and duties
  • Planning and implementing project work lists and duties

The salary range for this position is: $95,500 - $119,500
