Speech & Language Pathologist

Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is now accepting applications for the role of Temporary, full-time (1.0 FTE) Speech & Language Pathologist in Golden, BC. This role is effective October 15, 2025, to October 30, 2026.
Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 is located on the traditional, unceded and shared territory of the Ktunaxa and Secwépemc peoples and is the chosen home for many Métis and other Indigenous people. Located in the beautiful Columbia Valley of the East Kootenays Rocky Mountain serves 3343 students in 18 schools spread over 270 kilometers. The 3 major centers in the District are the communities of Golden, Invermere, and Kimberley. The District’s vision is opportunity, equity, and success for each learner. This position requires an individual with demonstrated leadership skills, experienced in the following responsibilities:
- Knowledge of discipline specific best practices in assessment and intervention with children with speech, language, or developmental delays
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual education plans designed to grow communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
This position requires a Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology (or equivalent); eligible for membership in CASLPA and/or BCASLPA, combined with 3-5 years’ experience in the field as well as a valid BC driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle.
