As a Shop Drawing Engineer, you will be responsible for providing fabricators with the information necessary to manufacture, fabricate, assemble, and install all components of cabinetry and furniture. Waltons Woodworking provides a level of passion and attention to detail that is unparalleled, and as a member of this team, you will play a key role in delivering custom millwork that is made to fit our client expectations, going the extra mile to deliver the highest quality product and service.

 

LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. PROJECT EXECUTION

Ensure the project is delivered to the highest quality, on time and on budget. 

a)     Drawing Review – Review and understand Architectural drawings, ensuring components are structurally solid, durable, functional, and meet the design intent through complete and easy to understand drawings while collaborating with Production Supervisors and mangement 

b)     Drawing Development – Produce shop drawings, including plan views, elevations, sections, and lists, for custom millwork items that clearly illustrate how each item is constructed, including all material and finish requirements and annotative measurements needed to accurately deliver the design intent of the product.

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

-         5+ years of relevant experience completing shop drawings or related AutoCAD drawings

-         Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Access

-         Ability to read and review drawings, specifications, and cut lists

-         Ability to manage multiple projects at once 

-         Strong analytical and communication skills

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

-         $28 - $35 / hour (to be negotiated) plus overtime at statutory rates and incremental raises as per company policy

-         Benefits available after 3-month probationary period and include group medical, dental, vision, disability, and relocation loan if applicable.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

-         Full-time, permanent position

-         Typical hours: 07:00 – 15:30 / 06:00 – 14:30
