As a Wood CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating one or more woodworking machines to fabricate components of cabinetry and furniture. LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. PROJECT EXECUTION

Ensure the project is delivered to the highest quality, on time and on budget. 

a)     Drawing Review – Read and understand Shop drawings and specifications to develop a clear understanding of the project and desired results.

b)     Equipment Programming – Setup and operate production equipment to produce components that accurately reflect drawings, leveraging basic programming and modifications to existing programs to achieve design intent.

c)     Equipment Maintenance – Check and maintain machinery daily as directed by manufacturers recommended schedules, monitoring machinery while executing tasks and making any necessary adjustments to ensure the delivery high-quality results while maintaining a clean and organized working environment.

d)     Equipment Management – Prepare and load raw materials and parts into machinery, setting requirements to complete full cycles in order to fabricate a large number of components in an effective and efficient manner.    

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

-         4+ years of relevant experience operating a wood and panel-based CNC

-         Minimum of 2 years completing basic modifications and creations of machine programming

-         No specific education is required if experience is met

 

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

-         $25 - $35 / hour (to be negotiated) plus overtime at statutory rates and incremental raises as per company policy

-         Benefits available after 3-month probationary period and include group medical, dental, vision, disability, and relocation loan if applicable.

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

-         Full-time, permanent position

-         Typical hours: 07:00 – 15:30
