Wesgroup is poised for substantial growth over the next several years and in preparation for this exciting and challenging phase, they are actively seeking a highly engaged, driven and experienced Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join their team.

What - The Role:
Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, and in collaboration with other P&C team members, the Senior People & Culture Business Partner will play an integral role in the delivery and execution of Wesgroup’s People & Culture strategy and roadmap, operating as a trusted partner to business leaders and people managers while fostering Wesgroup’s values and upholding the team brand internally and externally.
The Senior P&C Business Partner will leverage their extensive business experience to provide in-depth guidance, advice, and coaching in the areas of change management best practices, driving high performance, organizational design and effectiveness, leadership effectiveness to drive employee engagement, mid-and-long-term workforce planning, and resolving employee relations matters.

We are looking for a seasoned, well-rounded, and adaptable human resources professional who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work and who can contribute to big picture strategy while simultaneously doing hands-on execution.

The Sr. P&C BP will be someone who can build strong partnerships through open and honest dialogue and who believes deeply that people drive the success of any company. The Sr. P&C BP will embody the job title through fostering a proactive, solutions-oriented approach that centres on truly partnering with the business to create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Qualified candidates for this role will have the natural ability to coach leaders on how to listen, understand, and resolve employee relations issues with an employee-centric approach. A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills will help guide Wesgroup’s teams to continually increase employee engagement through supportive and positive interactions.
  • Minimum 10 years and preferably 12+ years of progressive and relevant P&C work experience.
    • Additionally, prior operational work experience will be well-regarded.
  • A bachelor's degree with a concentration in human resources or a related discipline is required. Master’s level education such as an MBA or an MA in Strategic HR or Executive Coaching seen as an asset.
    • Additional credentials and qualifications such as CPHR designation, PROSCI certification, and/or ICF certification, etc. are highly preferred.
  • Highly skilled in leveraging HR systems and technology to extract key business metrics that foster data-driven decisions. Experience using Ceridian Dayforce is preferred.
  • Direct experience with almost all facets of HR are required in this well-rounded senior generalist role: employee relations, leadership coaching, learning & development, compensation analysis & consultation, performance reviews & performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, organizational development, etc., plus partnering closely with internal Talent Acquisition team on recruitment, attraction, and employment branding.
  • Real estate industry experience is preferred. If candidates do not have any prior work experience within real estate, then at a minimum there will need to be a genuine interest in Canada’s interesting, fast-paced and dynamic real estate sector.
How Much:
Base salary will be commensurate with depth and relevance of work experience, qualifications, and skillset, so the range is quite wide at $120,000 to $150,000. Additionally, the Senior People & Culture Business Partner will receive robust health benefits, paid time off (4 weeks’ vacation, 3 paid personal days, 5 paid volunteer days, 13 paid holidays, etc.), an RRSP match, a healthcare spending account, a lifestyle spending account which includes coverage for fitness, daycare, and eldercare costs, and financial support for relevant professional development. Where:
Wesgroup is located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver’s financial district taking up three floors in the Bentall 3 tower, a brand-new, beautifully designed office with incredible views of the ocean and North Shore mountains, right next to the Burrard SkyTrain station. This is a full-time in-office role for the first several months, after which time the Sr. P&C BP will be eligible to work from home 1 day/week if they choose. The Wesgroup Leadership Team believes in the importance of a full, healthy life outside of the office; someone organized, efficient, and productive should be able to achieve good work/life balance in this role.
