Job Description

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting for a large publicly traded client to take on both internal and external reporting. Being part of the corporate reporting team, you will help with the global consolidations process. This will be an excellent opportunity for someone to work in a fast-paced and growing environment with lots of opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities:

Compiling internal reporting packages, including the consolidation of worldwide forecasts.
Generating executive analysis reports, MD&A, financial statements, and associated disclosures on a quarterly basis.
Supporting the external audit and review process.
Preparing and posting necessary journal entries for month-end closing, along with managing the journal entry schedule (monthly).
Developing and reviewing supporting documentation for intercompany eliminations.
Collaborating with regional teams on various business and accounting issues.
Drafting memos and performing analysis on accounting topics as needed.
Assisting in the creation of reports for other departments, such as Treasury, Risk Management, Investor Relations, Financial Systems, and more.

Requirements:

A CPA designation plus with a background in public practice and 2+ years of industry experience
Experience in an environment with multiple entities/locations/etc.
Strong analytical skills using Excel
Strong interpersonal and exceptional communication skills
Proven ability to think independently and solve problems
Ability to develop and manage a dynamic business process in a fast paced environment

Rewards:

$110k-120k
