Sales Development Representative From Home (SDR)

Job Description

The SDR plays a key role in driving new client acquisition. You will be the first point of contact for prospects, qualifying inbound leads, running targeted outbound outreach, and ensuring smooth handoffs to the sales team. This is an opportunity to make a real impact inside a mission-driven, remote-first organization serving the nonprofit sector.

Principal tasks and responsibilities include:
Act as one of the first points of contact for prospects, representing the company's suite of software solutions.
Qualify inbound leads and route them effectively into the sales process.
Drive outbound outreach campaigns via phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate new pipeline.
Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure lead and opportunity targets are met each month.
Engage with organizations to understand their needs and articulate how the platform creates value for their specific situation.
Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients to move them through the pipeline.
Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and opportunities in CRM software.
Report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity and results to the Sales Manager.

Qualifications and pre-requisites:
1-2 years of experience in sales development, business development, or a related role; SaaS experience is an asset.
Strong communication skills with confidence in phone, email, and LinkedIn outreach.
Comfortable balancing inbound lead qualification with proactive outbound prospecting.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple conversations and tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, Outreach, or similar).
Goal-driven with a self-starter mindset and eagerness to grow in a sales career.
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, remote-first environment.
Passion for mission-driven organizations and the nonprofit sector is a strong plus.
