Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to plan, organize, direct, and lead the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives that strengthen the company’s brand presence, drive customer acquisition, and support sustained growth for our data collection and research services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Development

●      Develop growth strategies to expand the client base, forge partnerships and secure new projects to drive business expansion in data collection and research services.

●      Prepare proposals, lead contract negotiations, and build long-term client relationships for repeat business.

●      Identify market opportunities targeting research agencies, consulting firms, and corporate clients.

2. Marketing Planning and Brand Development

●      Design, direct, and evaluate marketing strategies and integrated campaigns across digital/traditional channels, including trade fairs and conferences.

●      Initiate market research studies, analyze findings, ensure brand consistency, and representation at industry events.

●      Support service development and optimize campaign performance through reporting and recommendations.

3. Sales Promotions and Service Development

  • Plan and oversee sales promotions, events, and marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact, ensuring clear communication and high satisfaction.
  • Lead market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign and project performance, including post-campaign analysis, to optimize marketing effectiveness and support continuous business growth.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure timely client communication, and oversee CRM systems and pipeline management.

4. Team Leadership and Performance Management

●      Build, lead, and manage sales/marketing team through recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training.

●      Set performance targets, monitor results, deliver coaching, feedback, and drive continuous improvement.

●      Align team activities with overall business objectives and growth strategies.

5. Performance Tracking and Compliance

●      Monitor KPIs (sales growth, client acquisition, campaign ROI) and prepare strategic reports for management.

●      Ensure compliance with GDPR, ESOMAR, CCPA, and maintain industry standards/best practices.

●      Stay current with market research trends, sales/marketing tools, and emerging opportunities.

Employment Requirements

Education

●      Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).

Experience

●      Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate sales, strategic business development, and sales/marketing management.

●      Proven exposure to international marketing and business development, preferably in market research, corporate sales and professional services.

●      Demonstrated ownership and self-driven results in small-to-medium growing organizations.

Key Skills & Competencies

●      Strong leadership with strategic planning, client relationship management, and market expertise.

●      Proficiency in CRM systems, digital marketing tools, market research methodologies, and corporate sales processes.

●      Excellent communication, analytical, negotiation skills plus knowledge of industry standards (GDPR, ESOMAR, CCPA).

Terms of employment:

  • Position: Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Compensation: Base salary $55 / hr ($90,000 - $100,000) + 15% Commission (On Target Earnings up to $20,000)
  • Hours: 32-35 hours per week
  • Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Work Location: Vancouver (hybrid / remote available)
