Role Overview

The Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruitment ensuring Trail hires the best candidate for the right position and serving as a trusted talent acquisition partner to the site by gaining a strong understanding of the operations and their needs.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for a detailed-oriented and motivated individual with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills able to prioritize work and stay organized through competing demands in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work with integrity and professionally manage confidential material is crucial

Key Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Oversee full-cycle recruitment for assigned union and non-unionized positions at Trail Operations including trades, office staff, technical professionals and management ensuring recruitment activities are carried out in compliance with Canadian law
- Write and review job postings
- Review resumes and screen candidates for hiring managers
- Prepare hiring managers for interviews by providing guidance, coaching and creating interview forms
- Facilitate interviews and selection process
- Provide guidance on hiring decisions
- Complete all necessary pre-employment requirements
- Prepare new hire or transfer contracts and paperwork
Utilize recruitment tools and manage hiring files including SAP SuccessFactors, Lever ATS, reporting spreadsheets, ETQ, and interview notes
Assist with high level sourcing and marketing strategies including search engine marketing, print, online, social media
Coordinate and participate at career fairs and industry events as required

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
A minimum of one year experience in a recruitment centric role ideally in an industrial environment
General knowledge and understanding of Human Resources practices or processesrequired including a basic understanding of applicable employment laws and legislation
Strong digital literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
Previous experience with HR and Recruitment tools and databases required. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and Lever ATS a plus

Pay Range: CAD $83,000 - $103,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
