As the Purchaser, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of this organization. You will use your fantastic negotiation skills and analytical mindset to optimize costs and enhance procurement processes.

What You’ll Do

• Update and maintain material costs and inventory information in the database
• Distribute project material purchase orders
• Review and report on product quality
• Prepare procurement activity reports
• Identify suppliers and vendors, negotiate prices as needed
• Gather information pertaining to estimates and project pricing
• Review procurement systems and identify areas for improvement
• Work collaboratively on strategies to reduce inventory costs
• Other duties as needed

What You Bring

• At least 3 years of experience as a Purchaser/Buyer
• Construction industry and electronics training experience are preferred
• Post-secondary education in purchasing, supply chain management or related field
• Strong computer proficiency including experience with MS Office, experience with JD Edwards is beneficial
• Fluency in mandarin is strongly desired
• Great negotiation and risk mitigation skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
