PAINT / GELCOAT TECHNICIAN: Harvey 2465

We are a full-service shipyard located in the lower mainland that has specialized in large scale marine construction and refits on luxury yachts ranging from 40 – 100 feet. 

As one of the fastest growing shipyards in BC, we are currently looking to expand our service team by hiring a mechanic/service technician.

Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience with paint/gelcoat application, preferably marine related, and have a thorough understanding of the following: 

• Fiber glass experience an asset
• Gelcoat repair and color matching
• Paint repair and color matching / Awlgrip and Alexseal
• Top coat paint application / Awlgrip and Alexseal 

Preference will be given to candidates with Marine experience; although, resumes with relevant experience will be considered.  Above your technical skillset the following are considered assets: 

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Works well in a Team Environment as well as independently
• Desire to grow within the company and achieve long term career goals
• Keen attention to detail and quality of workmanship
• Valid driver’s license 

Versatility is key as no two days are the same, as we work on every system that our clients have on board.

• Candidate to have their own tools.

This is a Full-time position

Competitive wages of $25 - $30 per hour, based on experience
