Job Description
Express Employment Professionals, Delta/Richmond, is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our client’s waste operations throughout the Vancouver Lower Mainland. This role will oversee multiple service lines and be instrumental in driving operational performance, safety, customer service, and contract management.
Key Responsibilities

Direct day-to-day operations for the waste division.

Manage a range of service lines, including commercial, residential (small-scale), strata/condo, apartment, and portable waste services.

Provide hands-on leadership to operations staff, such as drivers, supervisors, and support teams.

Ensure all activities adhere to safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.

Track operational performance in areas such as routing efficiency, service quality, and cost control.

Support contract management and operational readiness for roll-off services and upcoming contract opportunities.

Work closely with regional leadership and teams in the Vancouver Lower Mainland to align on operational goals and strategy.

Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
-
2+ years of operations leadership experience, ideally in waste, transportation, logistics, or environmental services.

Proven experience managing field operations and frontline teams.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Experience overseeing multi-line service operations is an asset.

Knowledge of waste industry operations.
