Job Description

Established commercial/residential millwork operation serving the local BC market is looking for an experienced Millwork Installer Helper to join our established operation. You will work with our Lead Installer to assist with onsite delivery, setup and installation of custom millwork and cabinetry. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Read, interpret and work off shop drawings and blueprints to install millwork.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join mouldings, wood materials and hardware.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools such as chop saws, routers, sanders, etc.
  • Fast, efficient and professional conduct on job sites working as part of a team.
  • Use correct procedures to ensure installation quality and accuracy to specifications.
  • Assist in off loading, movement and installation of received millwork at the worksite.
  • Organize, manage and maintain an efficient, clean and safe on-site work area.
  • Work collaboratively with the lead installer and other team members within project scope and established timelines. 

Qualifications include:

  • Experience installing and/or producing millwork or cabinets.
  • Prior experience with hand and power tools related to installing cabinetry/millwork such as chop saws, sanders, routers, etc.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Multitasker who can work well with changing conditions on projects.
  • Ability to manage your time for efficient performance and meet project deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physically capable of performing the job requirements.
  • Valid BC Drivers License required.
