Overview

Our client, a premier national public practice and professional services firm experiencing rapid 30% year-over-year growth, is seeking an ambitious Manager, Tax to join their dynamic practice in Greater Vancouver. Reporting to Senior Managers and Partners, you will work in an entrepreneurial, meritocratic environment handling fast-paced, high-value tax advisory and compliance engagements. This role offers an exceptional platform to handle complex corporate tax planning, cross-border expansions, M&A structuring, and strategic financial transactions for growing businesses.

What You’ll Do

Lead corporate and cross-border tax assignments, advise on business expansions, and assist clients with major financial transactions.
Conduct discovery calls with prospects referred through internal partner networks to understand client goals and growth plans.
Author comprehensive tax proposals, engagement memos, and strategic tax planning documentation.
Partner closely with external client teams (legal, operations, executive leadership) to execute and implement custom tax structures.
Apply rigorous risk management protocols and quality control across all planning and compliance deliverables.
Collaborate with and support junior team members, delegating effectively within a multi-disciplinary practice environment.

Qualifications

CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA) is required.
Completion or active enrollment in the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course.
Strong public practice experience in Canadian corporate tax or international tax.
Familiarity with or eagerness to learn cross-border tax concepts (e.g., M&A tax structuring, thin capitalization, withholding tax, and tax due diligence).
Entrepreneurial mindset, high work ethic, and a desire to thrive in a merit-based growth environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client-facing advisory engagements.
