Expected Salary Range: $101,122.00 - $126,403.00 - $158,003.00

Job Summary:

The Manager, eGaming Strategy and Business Development leads the business strategy and oversees the evaluation of performance for all product lines as well as platforms and system capabilities including marketing, analytics and enterprise supporting capabilities to continue to grow the digital business while maintaining integrity and operational excellence for the player. This role is also responsible for developing and executing B2B (Business to Business) sales strategies and providing operational oversight that drives growth and maximizes revenue and profit through creative and innovative approaches for the eGaming division.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Leads the overall business strategy for PlayNow including all product lines, platforms and system capabilities in alignment with enterprise product and player experience. Works closely with Marketing and Product teams to ensure alignment of roadmaps and priorities while recognizing potential efficiencies and opportunities for PlayNow.com
  • Proactively assesses and evaluates changing marketplace and industry trends, identifying and advancing new business partnerships and opportunities that increase the competitiveness of PlayNow.com and improve the player experience
  • Maintains a strong understanding of current BCLC strategies and works closely with multiple internal stakeholder in a multitude of areas including Marketing, Analytics, Product, CRM, Business Technologies and others in relation to B2B and Business Development partners to ensure strategic alignment and collaboration to leverage cross channel business and player opportunities.
  • Develops and executes the B2B (Business to Business) sales strategies and provides operational oversight that drives growth and maximizes revenue and profit through creative and innovative approaches for the eGaming division. Acts as the business representative in the implementation of B2B related products, improvements and process development.
  • Negotiates with leaders and other stakeholders to remove team impediments, issues and blockers, including escalating to the appropriate levels within the organization when they cannot be resolved at the team level.
  • Supports and leads the eGaming business and management team in identifying strategic business needs required from both internal BCLC and Vendor supplied systems.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with partner jurisdictions in the operational management of multi-jurisdictional products such as the Canadian Poker Network, Live Casino, Powerbucks and Bingo.
  • Manages the overall documentation and communication processes for the eGaming department and leads the delivery of documentation between eGaming and the broader Operations team ensuring compliance and adherence to divisional and corporate requirements and timelines
  • Provides strong people leadership and strategic direction to the department by championing BCLC's vision, mission and values, while ensuring the continual development of the technical and people skills required to meet corporate and department objectives.
  • Manages significant budgets for operating, capital and direct costs. Develops operational budget and makes financial decisions in addition to approving financial expenditures for the department. Identifies risks related to the product, develops and implements risk mitigation strategies and reports on risks.
  • Models leadership behaviours that support engagement of staff such as practicing meaningful recognition, inspiring a shared vision, communicating with staff regularly, coaching/mentoring others, conducting performance management, and supporting culture and change management initiatives
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience
  • Degree in business, information technology, or related discipline;
  • 5 to 7 years product management experience (preferably in a software development environment) with progressive levels of responsibility;
  • 2 to 5 years ecommerce or related experience (including online and/or mobile payments);
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Technical Requirements
  • Significant leadership experience - providing both direct and indirect leadership;
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment;
  • Demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach to identifying and resolving problems;
  • Demonstrated experience creating and refining business processes;
  • Solid understanding of ecommerce operations;
  • Solid experience in client/partner relationship management;
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation;
  • High degree of business acumen;
  • Strong people development skills;
  • Excellent team building abilities;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills;
  • Strong computer skills - MS office suite;
  • Experience in online gambling industry an asset;
  • Experience working in a regulatory environment an asset.
