Kamloops Society for Alcohol and Drug Services (Phoenix Centre) provides substance use services and advocacy for individuals, families and communities. We have a 20-bed inpatient detox unit, outpatient youth counselling, youth day treatment and supportive recovery programs.

Job Summary: This position requires flexibility and responsiveness. Reporting to the Detox Supervisor, the  housekeeper/janitor maintains the Phoenix Centre Detox Unit at an acceptable level of cleanliness and/or the 782 Seymour Street building location. 


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans all areas of the 922 Third Avenue building including but not limited to:

Stocking and cleaning of client washrooms
Cleans client rooms 1-10, and 11-15 and client lounges
Lower floor offices and common spaces

• Maintains cleaning equipment
• Reports any problems in the facilities, which require repairs and/or maintenance
• Cleans 782 Seymour Street building in accordance with the standards established
• Performs other related duties as required
