Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President Indigenization (VPI) or their designate, and where applicable, assigned day-to day supervision from local management, the Indigenous Advisor and Community Liaison contributes to the maintenance and development of productive and positive working relationships with First Nations and Métis communities within the community campus catchment. The incumbent will work with First Nations leadership and community members, as well as supervisors in agencies, industry, and businesses, to design and create appropriate guidelines for college programs and services. This position will contribute to provincial mandates in activating the Indigenous Partnerships and Pathways Program (formerly the Aboriginal Service Plan – ASP) supporting learners in post-secondary environments with ongoing engagement and consultation with community.
