As a Forester in Training, you will be an integral part of the Canfor Woodlands team, gaining hands-on experience across all key forestry functions. Based at our Prince George, BC office, this junior forestry position is designed to provide you with the training and knowledge needed to advance your career in forestry. A day in the life of a Forester-in-Training includes:
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implementing efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Completing planning activities and necessary assessments.
  • Conducting field operations: layout planning, timber cruising, preparing final field packages, ensuring quality control, and tracking progress.

For this role, you'll come equipped with:
  • A bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field (preferred).
  • A strong understanding of forestry principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to various forestry functions.

The salary range for this position is: $61,600.00-$88,000.00
