Canfor is currently seeking motivated and experienced Industrial Electricians to join our pulp mill operations. As a member of our Electrical Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the reliability, safety, and performance of our highly technical and innovative manufacturing facilities.

This is an opportunity to apply your electrical expertise in a dynamic industrial environment while working alongside skilled professionals who are committed to safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

As an Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install industrial electrical equipment and systems throughout the mill.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues involving motors, transformers, PLCs, field devices, control systems, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Complete maintenance documentation, work orders, inspections, and required regulatory records.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with electrical codes, mill procedures, and safety standards.
  • Follow Canfor's safe work practices, lockout procedures, and environmental policies.
  • Build strong working relationships with operations, maintenance teams, and fellow tradespeople.

For this role, you'll come equiped with:
  • Red Seal Certification as an Industrial Electrician.
  • Strong PLC troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work safely, independently, and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, heavy industry, or construction environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

The hourly rate for this position is: $48.66
