Equipment Operator-SAC
Salmon Arm Crushing, a division of Emcon Services Inc., is a trusted Road and Bridge Maintenance Contractor serving the Interior of British Columbia. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-focused Lowbed Operator to join our team in Merritt, BC.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator who takes pride in transporting heavy equipment efficiently and safely while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Position Overview
As a Lowbed Operator, you will be responsible for operating a 7-axle lowbed to transport heavy equipment between job sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely operate a 7-axle lowbed to transport heavy equipment
• Load and unload machinery such as crushers, excavators, and support equipment
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Ensure proper load securement in compliance with provincial regulations
• Coordinate with supervisors and site personnel for efficient equipment movement
• Assist with equipment operation on-site when required

Qualifications & Requirements
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
• Proven experience hauling heavy equipment, preferably with multi-axle lowbeds
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment operation (excavators, loaders, crushers considered an asset)
• Solid knowledge of load securement standards and transportation regulations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and strong work ethic
