Role Overview

Reporting to the Head, Enterprise Risk, the Coordinator, Risk Management will support the development, evolution and application of Teck's enterprise-wide risk management framework.

This role will coordinate Risk function activities, initiatives and projects, while providing administrative support to the Head, Enterprise Risk and senior team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Promotes continued adherence to existing risk management policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Coordinates Risk function projects and activities including scheduling, monitoring, and tracking of milestones
  • Handles the department head's calendar by setting priorities, scheduling meetings and making changes and adjustments as the need arises
  • Provides general administrative support to department head and senior team members, including organization of complex domestic and international travel arrangements and processing of expense reports
  • Identifies emerging issues, determines their urgency/priority, and compiles background information for timely and appropriate decisions and/or action
  • Supports department budget and processes of invoicing/accounts payable
  • Prepares communications, reports, and presentations
  • Coordinates and manages access to risk systems and applications, data entry, and general information management
  • Promotes increased awareness and ownership of risk throughout Teck

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of experience in a senior support or coordination role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Experience with systems, data-entry
  • Very well-organized with sharp attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to proactively build and manage relationships within various levels of the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and provide a positive outlook towards change
  • Spanish language skills are an asset

Pay Range: CAD $67,000 - $82,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
