Position Information
Location Coquitlam Campus Salary Range
$56,671.00 annually (with wage increments to a max of $63,636.00 annually). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Foundation and Alumni Relations or the Manager, Philanthropy and Alumni Relations, the Coordinator, Philanthropy and Alumni Relations provides program implementation and coordination support to the philanthropy and alumni relations programs at Douglas College Foundation. The Coordinator participates in on-going fundraising, stewardship, alumni events and programming and supports the development and implementation of new unit initiatives that advance the Foundation's priorities and strategic plans.

WHAT IT TAKES
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration and/or completion of two or more Fundamentals of Fundraising courses ( AFP or other accredited post-secondary institution) plus two years of related experience (fundraising preferred);
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated success in securing gifts in the $5,000-$25,000 range;
• Proven ability to develop and sustain relationships with current and prospective donors and volunteers through a moves management cycle, which converts to a gift by the prospect to the organization;
• Experience in working with and securing Affinity partnerships or business development;
• Experience managing, executing and evaluating communication strategy that effectively integrate institutional priorities and messaging into Alumni communications and activities.
Additional Information
• This regular full-time (35 hours per week) position is available starting February 23, 2026.
• Regular hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9am - 5pm. Shift days and times may change depending on the Department's need. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.
• The position is located at the Coquitlam campus; however, successful candidate must be available for occasional work at all Douglas College campuses and offsite locations.
