Job Title: COMMUNITY SERVICE WORKER (6 Positions) | #2151
Service Area: Vocational & Community Services
Location: Various Day Programs (Vancouver & Richmond)
Start Date: May 11, 2026 (ending August 28, 2026)
Term/Status: Temporary Full Time
Schedule/Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-15:00 // 35 hours per week
*Shift times & hours may vary slightly as this position is subject to funding. (min. 30 to max. 37.5 hours per week)
Hourly Wage:
$22.66

The Role:

DDA’s Day Programs provide engaging, supportive group activities for adults with diverse abilities. Our community-inclusive programs are designed to help each participant work toward their personal goals by building independence, fostering meaningful connections, and enhancing quality of life through community-based social, recreational, and vocational experiences.

As a Community Service Worker, you will play an important role in enhancing the quality and variety of our day program services.

What You’ll Do

  • Work alongside team members to support participants with activities of daily living
  • Co-lead engaging, person-centered programs tailored to individual needs
  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging program environment
  • Provide services through on-site, community, and outreach-based activities

*This position is subject to funding by Canada summer jobs. Position is conditional based on approval of application request by Service Canada.

Requirements/Education/Experience:

  • Post-secondary education or training in related fields is preferred (Community support worker, Kinesiology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Nursing Education)
  • Must be between ages of 18 - 30 at intake time, legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Knowledge or experience with people in the area of life skills, recreation, or/and leisure is an asset
  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Demonstrated competency in English
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold Refugee status

*This position requires Union membership.
