Job Description

Horizon Recruitment is recruiting for a Manager, Accounting role with a growing organization looking to strengthen its finance operations and reporting capabilities. This role offers an opportunity for a developing finance leader to take ownership of key processes, support system improvements, and contribute to the organization's financial management.

The successful candidate will play an important role in automating accounts payable, managing the transition of AP systems, overseeing treasury activities, and supporting technical accounting and revenue reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional with some management experience who is looking to broaden their scope and take on greater responsibility.

Responsibilities

Lead the automation of accounts payable processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control.
Take ownership of the AP system transition, supporting implementation and process improvements.
Oversee treasury management activities, including monitoring cash balances and supporting effective cash management.
Prepare IFRS memorandums and support technical accounting matters as required.
Lead the completion and close-out of IFRS 18 implementation and related accounting work.
Review revenue workings to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Support the review and improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting workflows.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support finance operations and ongoing business needs.

Requirements

CPA designation or equivalent accounting qualification.
Strong understanding of IFRS and technical accounting principles.
Experience with financial reporting and revenue-related accounting.
Exposure to accounts payable processes, automation, and system implementations.
Knowledge of treasury management and cash monitoring activities.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to take ownership of projects and manage multiple priorities.
A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Remuneration

Base salary: $100,000-$115,000
