Vancouver, BC | Full-Time | Up to $60,000

Burke Recruiting is working with a well-established Vancouver hospitality business looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting function, is comfortable working independently and is looking for a stable, long-term position.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have several years of practical bookkeeping/accounting experience and be comfortable managing a variety of day-to-day accounting responsibilities.

Experience may include:

Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
General bookkeeping and account reconciliations
Payroll support
Month-end accounting assistance
Working with accounting systems and online/cloud-based technology
Strong Excel and general computer skills

Restaurant or hospitality experience would be a strong asset, although it is not essential. Training and support will be available from an experienced restaurant consultant.

Experience with Sage is also an asset, but someone who is technically strong and able to learn new systems will absolutely be considered.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering up to $60,000, depending on experience, with some flexibility to work from home once fully trained and established in the role.
