College of New Caledonia (CNC)

Student Success & Accessibility Facilitator

Posted 7 days ago

Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Learning Commons & Academic Success Centre, the Student Success & Accessibility Facilitator supports students through an approach grounded in Indigenous values of relationship, belonging, and seeing each person as a whole and not just the presenting difficulties. This service model is not designed exclusively for Indigenous students; it is a way of serving everyone that also advances the College’s Indigenization commitments in everyday practice.

The role has two interconnected areas of work: coordinating academic support services and supporting the day-to-day administrative processes of accessibility services. The Facilitator is a trusted connector, the consistent, relational presence who meets students where they are, links them to the right support, while maintaining an active presence in the Aboriginal Resource Centre (ARC). The Facilitator will also refer students to higher levels supports where and when required.
