The Senior Resource Technologist provides senior technical advisory services to a program area in the natural resource sector and provide authorizations support for the District.

Job Requirements:
  • Diploma or equivalent in a natural resource field with at least 4 years or more related experience*.
  • Degree or higher in a natural resource field with 2 years or more related experience*.
    • *Related experience may include:
      • Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management.
      • Experience in negotiating/mediating solutions in natural resource management.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.


Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
  • One year or more experience in forest authorizations or other functions related to forest management

About this Position:

There is one (1) full time position available.This is a temporary opportunity until December 31st, 2024.An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.

This position can be based in any of the following Ministry of Forest offices: Dawson Creek, Fort St Johm, Fort Nelson, Prince George.

Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
